On The Rocks Traditional Geocache

Welcome to "On The Rocks", a new Travel Bug Lounge conveniently located on NYS Route 11 between DeKalb Junction and Canton, NY, designed for short TB stopovers while moving to a new location. This cache is a 50 caliber ammo box that contains some nice swag (goodies) for everyone. There is plenty of room for Travel Bugs passing through the area.

Parking is available in two locations:

1. N 44° 33.036', W 075° 13.633' -- for a short walk but you will need to be careful of traffic
2. N 44° 33.004', W 075° 13.590' -- Ohoro Road

Total distance to cache from parking is about 0.2 miles roundtrip. Very convenient for a quick lunchtime "Cache and Dash".

If you are interested in geologic features then you will want to check out the Snake Road Cut of plastically folded marble. The Snake is a thin band of feldspar that traverses the white marble road cut on the east side of Route 11.

Since it is a popular spot you will need to be careful of muggles.

We had an accuracy of 15 feet while placing this cache.
