of a mile from the trail head. Hiking, biking and horseback riding
are allowed. Pets are not allowed. Parking is free. The closest

This cache is a micro inside of a micro. Bring your own pen. When
you find the cache - remember to slide the outside cover left or
right – do not try to lift up the lid or you will break it. The
small micro inside has a cap that screws off – remember lefty
loosee and righty tighty. The Gainesville – Hawthorne State Trail
is rich in Florida’s plant and animal life. There is enough
beautiful scenery along this trail that it warrants bringing a
camera. If you decide to use the free parking at the Boulware
Springs Park it is only open between the following times: November
1st thru April 30th 07:00AM – 06:00PM and May 1st thru October 31st
07:00AM – 08:00PM. If you want to grab 3 more of our caches while
you are on the trail add: Paynes In The Gate GCTJ1P, Grand Daddy
Cache GCMPMW and Sinkhole View Cache GCMPN6.
