As a child growing up, I lived down the street from this property which is now a popular St. Louis County Park. At that time it was privately owned and there was a stable on the property which boarded horses. The neighborhood kids called it "Odie's Farm", possibly a variation on the street name. It was not uncommon to occasionally see someone riding a horse through the neighborhood streets. The stable burned down in the mid to late 1960's. As you walk the paved trail through the park, you can still see a few remaining reminders of that time, most obvious is the large flat open arena that was the corral where the horses were exercised. Those childhood memories have inspired me to place this kid friendly cache, whose original contents are horse theme related. The park is open from 8AM to dusk and has a playground, pavilions, and a paved walking and jogging trail. Cache is a cammoed lock and lock container and is a few feet off the paved trail. Minimal bushwacking. Please rehide well and watch for muggles- this is a busy park.
