Simmons Mill Pond Management Area in Little Compton. This is a hunting area. Wear orange from September to the last day in February. Parking lot is on Cold Brook Road at N 41 32.382 W 071 09.258

Simmons Mill Pond Management Area covers approximately 400 acres. The land is dominated by forest cover,freshwater wetlands and several ponds. Area offers canoeing, freshwater fishing (trout stocked), hunting, and hiking trails. This is one of our favorite places to walk. Bring binoculars, you may spot some wildlife. Enjoy the scenery. There may be some wet spots after much rain. Beware of poison ivy. Cache is a moderate walk, about3/4 mile from parking area. Above coordinates will take you to the well. Stand at the well cover and make a wish. Cache is within 45 feet of well. No need to disturb stone walls. Beware of poison ivy and ticks.
