You have to walk up steep Sheldon Road from the pullout where it
intersects with Overlook Road. See additional coords for the
pullout which has space for probably two vehicles, but most people
probably either bike in from further away, or from the top. I think
this is a legit parking spot but am not 100% sure. An additional
waypoint for parking further away is also listed, and that's
definitely ok.
Bicyclist and hikers are permitted on the private Sheldon Road
up to the gate, but please obey all the various signs on the way
up, including the one that asks you to be courteous to the
residents. Hours of access are from a half hour before sunrise to a
half hour after sunset.
As I said, Sheldon Road is steep - probably a tougher climb than
anything in the OSP itself - and I didn't time my walk up, but the
downhill stroll back to the bottom from the trailhead took me about
5 minutes.
Overlook Road is a very narrow street, not much wider than a
lane in places, so please drive/walk/bike carefully and watch for
other vehicles and bicyclists.
Parking a vehicle at the pullout gives you the option of
hiking/biking through El Soreno OSP with pretty much all downhill
if you take another car to the top and hike through. You could also
easily ride into downtown Los Gatos from here, again almost all
downhill.
