4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This landmark was sighted along with Mount Gambier, Cape Northumberland and Cape Banks by Lieutenant James Grant on 3rd December, 1800.

This cache is accessed by a very steep track, although stairs are provided, the terrain has been marked accordingly. Watch the Geo-kids, as younger ones will most likely need assistance up and down this area.

Stongly advise this to be done in the daytime, but not when windy or likely to rain, as you will be exposed to the elements.

Many a lizard can be spotted to this cache, so take the time especially if you have geo-kids.

For those not familiar with this location, please use the carpark at S 37 56.463 E 140 43.846, as there is also an excellent information board at this area so take some time to read this.

Don't forget the camera - and most important have fun!
