The monks of Basingwerk Abbey in North Wales owned land around Glossop in the mediaeval period. The boundary of their property was marked by a number of crosses of which six remain in various states of disrepair. Lady Cross is the most isolated and lies next to the old salt road on the summit of Round Hill.
For those seeking this cache as a letterbox, there is a rubber stamp in the cache that lies 64 footfalls (22.4 metres) SSE of the cross. Don’t forget to bring your own inkpad.
