Welcome to the ALICE IN WONDERLAND series of caches. These caches will focus on the characters in Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass”. As with all my caches please TREAD LIGHTLY and LEAVE NO TRACE.
The MAD HATTER is a crazy hat-seller trapped in a perpetual tea-time. He is often impolite and seemingly fond of confusing people. Lewis Carroll, pseudonym of Charles Lutwidge Dodson is said to have based this character on the hat makers of the mid - eighteenth century. At the time mercury poisoning was common among hat makers and it was felt to make them go crazy.
If you don’t like wandering around in the woods and some bushwhacking you're not going to enjoy these caches. You’ve been warned in advance so no incessant whining. In keeping with the nature of the stories the caches in this series may pop out of the looking glass or rabbit hole anywhere.
