Geocache Description:

While looking for GC1A6 my sorry GPS took me to this location. I
thought it was a great place for a cache to be, so I looked
intensely then gave up. I was lost. I pulled my neighbor's borrowed
GPS out of my pocket - a different model than mine. It showed me I
wasn't near where I should be. So I trekked to GC1A6 and found it.
My first cache! Since then I purchased a new and improved GPS.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, MY LOST is now YOUR GAIN. I put this cache in the area I was
searching intensely in vain. No puzzles, no finding waypoint after
waypoint, no higher mathematical calculations, no micro anything.
Just a tupperware container with lots of goodies for the kids
and family to enjoy. This is a good cache for your children to
find! An easy 250 feet bushwack off the main trail. While taking
the coordinates, I spotted 5 deer in the immediate area of the
cache. When I installed the cache I saw 2 more deer in the area. I
knew this was the right place for it. Since this is classified as a
semi-easy cache, just one little hint for the fun of it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cache is located in the Strawberry Creek Nature Area off of
Tenbrook road in Arnold. A parking lot is easily located at the
head of the trail. At the parking lot there is a pavilion with a
grill and port-a-potty. The nature area includes a pond and 4
walking trails in its 121 acres. I'd classify this as a 4 season
cache, but it can get a little muddy in the meadows after a rain or
thaw. (Leave the hospital whites at home) This is a nice place for
a walk with your children or pets. So come to this area and enjoy
finding multiple caches, and only park once.

Other Caches in the area are:
1. Geocache (GC1A6), You probably walked right by it in
route to this cache. It is one of the oldest caches in the St.
Louis area, installed in January 2001.
2. Owl’s Bend (GCVTBD) No
GPS needed to get to this cache. Just the story and a cheap compass will get you singing like a bird.
3. Pond Scum (GCX6B6) Nice walk with a bench at the end.
4. Story Time (GCWAKA) This is in another pretty area of the park. Keep Johnny’s story going!
5. Creek Bend (GCWF5V) Beautiful area with a bench close by to take a break and relax.

** Permission
was granted by the Arnold Parks Dept. for it's installation.
