A quick multi-cache in country-side set to celebrate Froggy's 12th birthday! This could be completed in less than one hour (there and back). Why note take an OS map and make a circular walk of it? Update August 2007: as the original ammo box went missing we have replaced the cache with a plastic click n' lock box and moved the final location slightly. You can still complete the cache within an hour and you may see some rather cute piglets on your route!
Park at St Leonard's Church (may be a problem on Sunday mornings) - the driveway is the same driveway as to Sherfield Court - it's directly opposite the road to the Wyevale Garden Centre. The church dates from the C14th although the chancel was rebuilt in 1866 and the steeple in 1872. The only vestiges of the former church are some mediaeval windows containing C14th and C16th stained glass. It is said that Oliver Cromwell gave the church the bells which survived uncracked from the siege of Basing House!
On with the cache - as there are sheep and pigs around and electric fences it would be a good idea to keep dogs on leads. You do not need to stray from the public footpath i.e. you will not need to go hunting amongst the memorial stones. The above co-ordinates are for the first waypoint.
