Geocache Description:

A nice hike through a field, dense Cedar stands and typical Virginia woods close to Fairfax-Loudoun County line.

Some new Fairfax parklands just north of Cox farm that I always thought could use a cache.

This field was a sod farm until only a few years ago when it was bought by Fairfax County. On nice days you may have to dodge remote control helicopters or airplanes. Other times there are dogs chasing frisbees or kids flying kites or launching rockets.

Park in the small gravel lot on Braddock Rd (coordinates below) and walk the length of the field.

Duck into the woods when you want but watch for barbed wire fence along the perimeter. If you stumble onto one of the many criss-crossing dear paths that lead you in the general direction, take it as long as you are able! There are some very dense areas of cedar trees and no maintained paths.

Cache is a medium sized plastic container that shouldn't be too hard to find. Please let me know if maintenance is needed - I live close by so it would be easy to fix.

There is an alternate route in which is a little less interesting. You can park on Mink Meadows St at coordinates in Alt Parking Waypoint below. Bring a picnic lunch or fishing pole!

Load up on your favorite tick repellent!

I hope you enjoy your visit!
