Hi. I'm Heartland Cacher, the volunteer reviewer for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com from Nebraska and Wyoming.

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings.

When you have repaired this cache, drop me a line and I can review it again for listing on the geocaching.com site.

If you don't care to continue on with this project, please remove any remaining cache bits from the area.

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed to commemorate the very first cache placed in Nebraska 5 years ago. In addition the first 10 finders can take away a cache of their own to hide anywhere they like!

On March 2, 2001 the very first Nebraska Geocache, GC3AD, was placed by OmahaTJ. This cache is placed very near the original coordinates of that cache. Today there are over 1300 caches placed throughout the state. This cache is placed to celebrate these past 5 years of Geocaching in Nebraska. When logging this cache please tell us something about your cache experience. How you got started, favorite caches, funny stories etc. Take a picture with the cache camera, or upload your own. We would like you to share your thoughts on caching with everybody. The Swag There is a bag with log book, pen, pencils and sharpener, and camera. Please take a picture of you and your cache crew. Leave the camera behind. This cache starts off with a bag of the typical cache swag: compass, bug wipes, McToys, first aid kit, sewing kit, etc. In addition there is a supply of items to help you hide your own cache. Stencils, cache box stickers, trail tacks (for a night cache). There is also some GC.com stickers, 2 new travel bugs, and tattoos for the kids. Wow! what a great time we had doing the Redux! Thanks to everyone who took and placed a cache. We had a ball finding them! If you want to look for the offspring of the Redux, I will list them for you to track down. #1 Tommie&Chele aka Nebraska Cachers Where the Trail Runs Beneath GCTQ3W This was the first one hidden. Barely made it out with my life. #4 McGator Ribaria GCTT8M No comment! ;) #5 YXJoe Maple Village micro GCTVBF Nice hide in a frustrating neighborhood to drive around. #6 RotoRootie Southridge Meadow Park micro GCTR36 Now archived but a bison under a rock. #7 Degarmo Ice House GCVHEW Great cache, good puzzle, awesome park. Big thanks for taking us there. #8 Kklems Tanks for all the caches GCVPPV The only one I haven’t been to. It’s a tank, so I’m in no hurry! ;) #9 Cachnut First Children GCV8TF Another great Cachnut hide. I’m too old for these. #10 BGunner01 "B's Blair Bottom Bison" (GCVTE0) BGunner’s hide was another great “Nature” experience.
