How often do you wonder where your electricity comes from? Do
you wonder where those electrons have traveled from every time you
flip a switch? If you're like me, you probably don't think about it
much. Well, this cache is located near some large power lines that
run north of town. Make sure to look west for an impressive view of
the huge lines disappearing to the horizon!
To the west the power lines run all the way to the power plant
in Monahans, then from the cache location, they turn south and end
at a substation in east Midland. All so you can load up your
computer and read geocaching.com!
The cache is about 400' from the road, the path is mowed and
well maintained until the last 100' feet, where you'll have to walk
through some knee high grass and avoid the mesquite and cactus.
Make sure to wear long pants and boots. The container is a
medium-sized thermos wrapped in camo duct-tape.
Original contents: Beanbag frog, beanbag turtle, toy car,
bouncy ball and a pocket screwdriver
FTF Prize: A Pocket First Aid Kit!
Make sure to take a picture of yourself and your Geocaching
buddys with the included camera! Once all the film is used up I
will put the photos into a Photo album for the cache!
