Use the trails starting at the lower
trailhead. The distance from the parking area to the cache
coordinates is less than 500 feet. Of course, the distance to the
cache via the trails will be longer but that’s much better than
bushwhacking 500 feet. The cache is accessible via the trail and it
is hidden in an area that is not a great distance from the trail.
The terrain from the trail to the cache is relatively easy with
little bushwhacking required if you make your way carefully. So you
can stay on the trails and enjoy your walk until you get near the
cache coordinates and begin your search. Along your way take note
of the many nature trail signs identifying local plants, and take a
short break on one of the nice benches erected by the local Boy
Scouts.
You are looking for a micro-sized cache
with a logbook in a plastic, zip-lock bag. You will need to bring
your own pen. The container is a painted, plastic jar. Please put
back the cache in the same place and re-hide the cache exactly the
way you found it.

Congratulations Pasha for being
the FTF!
Bay Leaf was our first hide so your FTF was special for
us.
