Geocache Description:

Cache should be a quick find. Not in a private yard and not disguised (at least not yet). Will see if this spot is frequently muggled before doing anything more. BYOP.

Since I have started geocaching, I have wanted to place one near where I live. South Vancouver does not have a lot of caches nearby, so I placed one in one of the largest parks in the area. South Memorial Park has a nice playground for smaller children as well as lots of sports fields. Depending on the time of year, you might see soccer, baseball, lacrosse or even cricket. Hopefully you will enjoy your visit to the area. If you get hungry, head up to Fraser Street where you will find a variety of ethnic restaurants including East Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, Vietnamese, the original Breka coffee shop/bakery as well as some of the usual fast food places. Thanks to all who nominated this for the best first cache placed in the 2006 Cache Blitz when originally placed it was a handmade micro disguised with pine cone parts glued to the micro and hanging in a nearby cedar tree. Unfortunately that got stolen multiple times and I got tired of making them as it was quite time consuming so we tried drilling a rock (it was long before the fake rock keykeepers that one can purchase now). When that too got stolen multiple times, we were about to archive it when Lazee Bones said he would like to adopt it. So he made multiple very clever disguises which were all unfortunately muggled or destroyed.

From Layzee Bones who adopted the cache: This was the first cache I ever found and what got me to start Geocaching. It seems fitting that I have adopted it from Loungelions who originally made and kept this cache.)

Loungelions have now adopted this cache back from Layzee Bones. Keeping his comment there to honour the history of the cache.
