*gln: ARCHIVING Disabled cache.

Greetings,

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. A few weeks have now become a couple of months and it is time for this one to be retired.

Geocache Description:

This cache is at the old CCC Camp near Noblett Lake. A short sometimes brushy hike in the woods. It might be a bit much for smaller children.

When Noblett Lake was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) back in the late 1930 during the Great Depression, the workers lived here at Camp Willow. Now the buildings are gone, but many of the old foundations remain. A visit here reminds us of an interesting part of our history.
The cache is located in Mark Twain National Forest. The Forest Service archaeologist calls this a sensitive historic site. Therefore, everyone exploring the site needs to be very careful not to disturb any of the constructions and foundations. This area is very interesting to explore. Be on your best behavior.
There is a convenient parking area for your car. The cache is less than a quarter mile from this parking area. There is absolutely no need to move any foundation stones to find this cache. The cache is an ammo container hidden near one of the many foundations. This particular foundation is one of the less spectacular ones. Please observe "No Trace" etiquette as you wander and search this area.
I am doing some research about this camp and will include information in the cache as I can.
I started this cache off with a variety of objects including: a horseracing pin I got in Hong Kong, a Katy Trail button, a genuine Missouri Meerschaum corncob pipe, a Missouri Streamteam flashlight (that works), some plastic fishing worms, a Mexican coin, some glasses cleaner, and a pair of sunglasses I found at the bottom of the Jacks Fork River.
Happy Hunting.
