Hale Reservation is only open during daylight hours.
A short, but somewhat steep hike up to Powissett Peak in the Hale Reservation. We wouldn't recommend this hike for very small children, and everyone should use caution if there is snow or ice present.
Cache container is a small rectangular lock 'n lock container (4x2). Just a few feet away is the highest point of Powissett Peak, which offers a spectacular view of the surrounding area. A PDF version of Hale Reservation is available here
Update - Shortest trail to cache is indeed closed for restoration. Just follow the main trail behind the gate until you reach an unmarked side trail at N42 13.794 W071 15.375 This is a much less steep trail up to the peak.
