Geocache Description:

U.S. Route 66 is affectionately called the "Mother Road." It went from Chicago to Los Angeles. It was the subject of a TV show and a popular song, "Get Your Kicks On Route 66." The U.S. Route 66 has been decommissioned and replaced by Interstates. Between OKC and the northeast corner of Oklahoma, it is now called State Highway 66. In some places you can even still see the original road bed. Let's go see it!!

For more information on Route 66, please go to Route 66, Enjoy the Ride!

The cache container is about the size of a film canister There are no trading items or writing instrument. There's only a log sheet.

Look at the famous round barn a half mile east of this cache and enjoy a pop while here.
