This cache is one of three placed along the Lower Magruder Trail, on the segment between Watkins Rd and Log House Rd. Suggested parking is at N 39 14.058 W 077 11.339. This is a soft shoulder pull-off area where the trail crosses Watkins Rd. The trail is natural surface, and it can become muddy in spots after rain. The main trail leads to within 500 feet of the cache, where a side trail can then be used.
The cache is a plastic Decon Kit Container which can hold only a few small items. It is about a .75 mile hike along the trail to the cache. You must cross the creek to get this cache, which might be difficult in adverse conditions. One objective is to find the preferred crossing. The immediate area around the cache could also be quite muddy at times.
