Geocache Description:

Just off the blue trail in Oak Mountain, this cache can be a destination or an "on the way to somewhere" find.

Welcome to Green Frog Gulch! I didn't know if this area of Oak Mountain had a name or not. Just in case it didn't have a name, now it does! I've always loved the Peavine area for its rugged beauty. You will pass close to the falls, so bring a camera!

The cache is a relatively large Lock-n-Lock container that I won at the January AGA Cheaha event. It contains a froggy assortment of goodies for almost all ages. The logsheet is in a film can for extra waterproofing. Please bring a pen, I believe I forgot to leave one! Terrain is a 3 for this cache because of the stream you have to cross. Do NOT try to cross at the "rough" stream crossing -- there IS a bridge if you are on the correct (Blue) trail. The rough crossing is slick and wide, and the water is moving fast! Please use the bridge, or your butt may be bouncing down Peavine Falls!

Visit Alacache.com and say hello to the locals!
