When I spotted this area while browsing in Google Earth, I was surprised no caches were even close and so I set a marker, giving it the name Prospect A. Weeks later, I got around to making a reconnaissance run during my lunchtime and enjoyed the terrain, trees, and trails, as well as the sloughs and oxbow lakes.
Use the suggested parking coordinates below. No real need to get off the trails till its time to do the search. Once the cache is located, you might find it easier to grab if you circle around and approach it a bit more from behind. Please go easy on the unbroken brush to avoid creating a path that gives it all away and then of course cover your tracks, if necessary.
The cache is one of those square, plastic containers for Tex-Mati Rice or Smokehouse Almonds, about 1-1/2 quarts in size, covered in camouflaged tape. Inside there are kid-friendly trade items selected with the help of our youngsters.
FTF Prize: A tiny portable FM radio with ear buds.
