Iquitos, Peru's, 1st ever regular geocache!
Just returning from a trip to the Peruvian Amazon, I was dismayed that there were no caches to grab in Iquitos during my journey. Hence, I offer this one for future geocacher trekkers:
Iquitos, Peru, is the largest city in the world non-accessible by vehicle (only way in is by boat or plane) and the Iquitos Yellow Rose cache will take you to one of the most outlandish, amazing establishments that the central downtown area has to offer.
You will be astounded at the amazing display of local paraphernalia and University of Texas Alma Mater items of this American ex-pat's; Mr. Gerald Mayeaux.
Gerald is one of the most down to earth, friendly and genuine people you will ever meet and it is an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY to visit him at the start of your travels in and around Iquitos. He offers free, *honest* and un-biased information on *everything* (where to go, how to get there, how much to pay and not to pay, history, local traditions, etc.) and expects nothing but a smile in return. You will be EXTREMELY glad you stopped by here to meet this man and to grab this cache.
