Geocache Description:

This is a very small micro with sign only log. BYOP! Cache is camo'd and small pill bottle. Depending on time of day and day of week, you may need your best stealth on weekends as there is usually a lot of activity in the area. This is a heavy muggler area so please hide back as you found it.

On March 6, 1834, John "Yellowjacket" Bailey conveyed 100 acres including this square to commissioners appointed by the North Carolina General assembly to establish a town site for Yancey County.
Otway Burns, Born in Onslow County, NC in 1775 and Died in Portsmouth County, NC in 1850. Sailor, Soldier, Statesman, North Carolina's formost son in the war of 1812.

For him this town was named.
