A straightforward cache with a twist hidden near to the road. This is a family friendly cache so drag your children along to this one. The co-ordinates are an average of a number of readings over a couple of visits but be aware of the tree cover which could affect accuracy.
For those of you who want to make this into a proper walk we would suggest parking at N53 12.315 W002 41.815 and follow the winding trail all the way through the forest which will bring you out close to the cache. From there you can follow the road (sign-posted Kelsall) past the Summer Trees Tea Room and then turn right into Waste Lane back to the parking place. Alternatively park at Summer Trees Tea Room, walk down the Sandstone Trail until you join the main forest track then follow the instructions above. Needless to say the Tea Room is well worth a visit as many of you who have done our other caches in the area will agree.
IMPORTANT
Please note how the cache is hidden. The container is perfectly concealed and no extra material should be required. Replace it exactly as you found it. Also make sure that the log is the last item you replace in the container. The reasons for this should be obvious when you’ve found it.
The cache holds a number of very small items and to start with there is one of the highly collectable Kelsborrow Wayfinders fingermonsters (sadly no icon currently available).
