A multi cache situated on the Weddington Country Walk.
Car parking at the above coordinates for four or five cars in the lay by on the A444.
This multi cache is entirely on Northern section of The Weddington Country Walk and should involve a round trip of about 1.5 miles. This walk was originally a railway line that ran from Nuneaton to Moira and beyond. It carried passenger and goods traffic for 65 years. After it closed to traffic it was used to store wagons for many years before finally being totally dismantled. It is now a mainly flat and level walkway which can be a little muddy on the edges.
Go to the information board at N 52° 32.655 W 001° 28.172. Here you will need to establish when the line was established (1ABC). Passenger service ceased in 1DE1 and the last station closed in 196F. The date of the information board you are looking at is 19G8. I have noted that the information board has been damaged and I have replaced the letter G with an actual value. Now you have all the information needed to locate the micro cache.
The micro cache is located at N52° 32.AE(F-E) W001° 27.D7(B-C)
On the way to the micro cache count the number of square uprights on the bridge. You should end up with two digits which are between 20 and 50 and add up to 9. You will need to add these two digits to the Northing AND Westing held in the micro to give the location of the main cache.
The cache itself is a 1L food container wrapped in a black plastic bag and contains lots of goodies as well as the log book and pen and a certificate for the first to find.
PLEASE HIDE THE CONTAINER WELL AS IT HAS BEEN MUGGLED ONCE
This walkway forms part of the Sustrans N52 cycleway so beware of cycling muggles as well as the usual dog walkers and pedestrians. The path is very well used by locals.
