The cache consists of three parts:
1. The Lock
2. The Stock and
3. The Barrel
Before you can claim the find for this cache you will need to
locate one of these parts:
The Barrel
The Barrel is a
Travel Bug made especially for the ACT
NOTE: This Travel Bug is NOT to leave the
ACT, however it has been made free to roll around the
other Canberra caches and part of the challenge of this cache is to
find where the barrel is aging (we only ask that you leave a note
for the next cacher to inform them that you have collected the
Barrel). Once you have captured The Barrel you can move onto
locating the next piece of the cache.
The Lock
The Lock is a padlock that can only be opened by the Barrel and
has been put in place to keep the last piece of the cache from
escaping, the last piece being
The Stock
As with all caches the stock is the cache contents however this is
no ordinary cache contents the cache has been started with a
farmyard theme, and to keep with the name of the cache if possible
we would like to continue the theme going.
After you have finished claiming the find for this cache please
remember to take the Barrel with you and place it in to another ACT
cache as soon as possible so that the next cacher can claim the
find.
The difficulty for this cache has been set as 2.5, however this
may not necessarily be the case, we have rated it this way as it is
in the middle of the scale, and depending on where the Barrel is
placed these may go up or down.
Access to GZ can only be gained via the following
coordinates S 35° 19.574 E 149° 13.512
We have set the terrian rating to 1, this may also change given
the time of day. The area is available 24hr however it is limited
by a gate with no published hours of opening. If the gate is open
you can drive to within 20m of the cache (along dirt roads), but if
the gate is shut be prepared for a walk.
GZ is a place with some Canberran history and is not to far from
the centre of town to assist in helping the Barrel move quickly.
Cachers that have been in Canberra for a while will know this
location as it was previously used for another cache, but there has
been no cache here for quite sometime.
For those who don't know the history of the area more
information can be found at the
related web page.
