Geocache Description:

Easy cache in a 2 quart plastic container

My son E-Moose decided he wanted to hide a treasure, so we put a few kiddie items in a jug and placed it next to the Ernst Bike Trail, a Rails to Trails public path. The bike trail is a five mile long paved trail open to all non-motorized travel. Former railway, converted for recreation by Rails-to-Trails org. & donated by the Ernst family. Trail is wheelchair accesible from parking lot in center, on Mercer Pike. N 41º35.488 W 080º 09.582 Use caution, especially with children, road is frequented by speeders. Passes through numerous ecological environments, including farmland, wetlands, woodlands, fern glens, hemlock stands, and borders French Creek for a section. Benches for resting are frequent, but be cautious of possible bees nests on benches. Abundant wildlife present. Pets allowed, under control. When I was a kid, the trestle you see across the creek was a favorite hangout for my friends and I. We'd climb under the bridge to the supports to throw rocks into the creek, fish, and talk about guy stuff. It was always cool to sit there when trains rumbled overhead. It was a "test of manhood" to walkalong the top rail all the way across. Too bad caches can't be around bridges anymore, you'd be searching in a whole different spot for this cache.
