Geocache Description:

The entrance is on the bypass; look for a "Waynesboro Recreation" sign.

Do you remember your ABC’s? Of course you do. (If you don’t, there’s a school very near by.) And they are what you need for this cache; that plus a little creativity. See, there’s only one item in this ammo can, an item that starts with the letter 'a'. That item needs to be replaced by one item, one item only, starting with the letter 'b'. And so on all the way to 'z'. Easy enough? Now. The next requirement is......poetry. Not an epic, odyssey sort of thing -- all you need is one line, one that rhymes to make a couplet. Example:

A is for Athlete, the bobble-head kind

is the first half of the first couplet waiting for you. You could put in:

B is for ball, to help you unwind

or

B is for band-aid, a blister you bind

If you are absolutely stumped, you could get Dr. Seuss-ish:

B is for bauble, with a bloogalbweet mind (extra credit for originality).

and so on.

Now, 'c' and 'd' should rhyme each other, not the first couplet:

C is for candle, I watched it melt
D is for dread, here comes Dad's belt

"C" would not need to rhyme with the 'aboard' scheme. Hmm, not sure how you'd put 'dread' in the cache......

Please be flexible and bring a couple of items in case someone's been there just ahead of you and has replaced the 'g' with an 'h', thereby rendering your halibut useless. Also, please remember you only need to write ONE LINE of poetry. The reason for the emphasis is because we’d tried this one at our previous home, and we had people writing one or two stanzas even after gentle explanations, or their own couplets. ONE LINE, folks. Just ONE. The ONE LINE should be written in the log book as well as your found log online.

If you don’t want the bobble-head athlete or halibut that’s waiting to be exchanged, then feel free to just add your cat or icicle without taking the previous item -- as long as it doesn’t build up to 26 items in the cache.
