Nice hike that takes you across Elwood Reservoir's dam. Great view from the middle. Mostly well worn trail with the last 100 yards in heavy brush.
Nice hike with some great scenery. 1.4 miles from the parking spot to the cache. The cache may only be reached through the Elwood Reservoir WMA. Entrance is just north of Elwood Nebraska on highway 283. The lake is used for irrigation and varies from being very full to almost empty depending on how much water the farmers have used. Area is open to fishing, hunting and hiking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so it would be a great place to night cache. The only muggles you will see will be a few local fisherman so bring your pole if you are so inclined (the fishing is very good).
Please seal the cache as tightly as you can. The container was recommended by a long time cacher who uses them frequently.
