... There's Fire! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

JWID: Well the new firehall does look to be a LOT bigger than the old one. Construction is continuing, and we feel it is best to lay this cache to rest.

After the construction job is done, if the area is still condusive to a cache hide, we'll consider a new cache to fill the void.

Thanks to all the finders.

Geocache Description:

Close to another Firestation. This is a relatively easy cache, where the puzzle can be easily solved while the kids play on the playground equipment.

The Co-Ordinates above are for the parking location.

The Park Rules are posted on a sign at: N43 00.251 W079 07.861

While this is a follow-up to our "Where There's Smoke ..." cache, it is completely different. As parents, we see these caches in parks that contain playground equipment and just know that means the cache will take a lot longer to complete! Here is you chance to let the kids play and burn off some energy, while you gather the information to allow you to move on to the final location.

To solve the final, you will need to do some simple math, in order to solve the following:

Take the parking co-ordinates for North, and add .ABC
Take the parking co-ordinates for West, and add .DEF

The letters above correspond to the following:

A: The number of the ball diamond closest to the Firestation.
B: The number of children that could be on the swings at one time.
C: The number of picnic tables under the pavillion, minus the number of thousands of dollars the fine is for violation of bylaw #75-253.
D: The number of slides in the playground.
E: The number of the Firestation, divided by the number of the balldiamond closest to the pavillion.
F: The number of children that could be on the teeter-totter at one time, divided by the number of twin-light light standards in the park.

This should lead you on a short walk to the final. The cache is a camoflauged plastic box with logbook, pen/pencil and trading items.

Please note the park is closed between 11PM and 6AM.
