I set out to try and get as close to
center as I could in these great RCA trails. However, finding
center was secondary to finding another really great location
for a cache. Every time I hike in here I discover some really
interesting spot. This time was no different as I found more
remains of the old RCA site.
As noted above, there will be some
bushwhacking here. It's not that bad but depending on your
approach, it will either be about 400 feet or 170 feet. If you
follow the blue trail, you'll get as close as about 450 feet. Head
a little further to the Southwest looking for a deer trail that
leads to a small clearing with large mounds of earth. If you can
get to this location, your bushwhack will only be around 160 - 170
feet.
Cache is a small canister with screw lid.
You effort will be rewarded with a nice easy find.
Enjoy!
