Geocache Description:

Uncle Wally’s backyard adventure

The He Man Micro Haters Club of NWPA does not really hate micro caches we just have issues for BIG caches. We like em big in NWPA.

This cache is the membership initiation cache for the HMMHC. To be a member of HMMHC all you have to do is find the cache, sign your name on the log and have good time.

Uncle Wally’s back yard adventure will take you to a scenic view (at least we thought so - fall will be great), challenge you with the most rugged terrain in the near area and reward you with a LARGE cache.

Now regarding Uncle Wally’s back yard adventure. Uncle Wally has provided ample parking (see parking waypoint)and HMMHC has provided the waypoint for the trailhead.

Please be careful here there is a significant elevation change in this location and there are many small stones that could cause a trip and fall to your death (we are serious on this point). From there follow the trail to the cache location.

HMMHC does not recommend this cache for people with weak hearts or other ailments, you can seek this cache at your own risk. The trail is easy walking going down (only a couple of logs to cross) coming back up is another story. The cache can be done at night but be very careful at the trailhead. Make sure the lid is properly secured before you leave. Good luck and enjoy.

Hugh Mungus

President of the He Man Micro Haters Club of NWPA

PS this is just a fun listing. HMMHC enjoys every cache that we find. We are placing a truly large cache for your enjoyment in such a cache dense area. I hope you have fun with this one. Please be careful with small children at the trail head, wear sturdy shoes/boots and if you go at night have a strong flashlight.

One other side note, there may be other points of entry; but I scouted the area fairly well and entering at the trail head is your best bet. Oh one more thing the cache is a film can in the eyes of the HMMHC - you should be able to see why when you get there.
