Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of geocaches that will introduce you to some of the Amateur Radio Repeaters around Ontario.

The active caches in this series (more to follow)

If you are an amateur radio operator, each cache contains the callsign and frequency of a repeater that can be heard from the cache area, so you can chat with some of the local hams on your way back to the car, or on your way to the next cache.

There is a code word and repeater call sign on the first page of the log book. Save this information if you want to go for the final later.

Bring a writing instrument (pen, pencil) as the geocache container does not have one inside. This cache may not be easily accessible if there is a lot of deep snow in the area.

Park at N42° 58.406, W081°14.304, entrance off Wellington Street.

If you look across the river from the parking, you may see the repeater, depending on the tree cover when you visit. It's on top of a 23 story office tower (380 Wellington Street), which had a TD logo on it at the time this cache was placed. Follow the Thames Valley Parkway to get to the general cache area.

The cache itself is a camoflauged tupperware container, hidden in a wooded part of Watson Street park in downtown London. Do not try to enter the park off Watson Street, that entrance appears to be for a maintenance yard.

The Thames Valley Parkway is a smooth paved trail, with a dividing line. The trail is great for bicycling and rollerblading, but will flood when the river is high. Today there were ducks and geese swimming on a flooded portion of the trail.

Watson Street Park is a clean urban park with wide grassy areas that are great for picnics. The occasional game of frisbee can be a fun diversion from a geocache hunt if muggles are around. Throw your frisbee into the woods for an excuse to look for the cache! Just make sure you toss the frisbee toward the cache.
