A multi cache situated on what was an old airfield, which opened in 1934 under helliwell ltd, who serviced aircraft during the war and also a school of flying, amy johnson appeared here at an aviation event. But it closed in the late 40`s, evidence can still be seen by the hangers which are now used by the countryside rangers.
The first part is a nano cache giving you the co-ordinates for the final cache which is a 1 ltr tuppaware box.
There is a carpark which is situated off bosty lane, look out for the dog kennel or top hanger signs.
The gates are locked at night so watch out for times on the boards.
The nano could be hard to find in the spring due to tree cover so the clue could be handy.
Other local caches if you want to make a day of it include Cuckoo`s nook and Park lime pits.
