Geocache Description:

The above Coords are the starting point of this themed offset multi-cache.
As you can see by the picture, this cache is stocked with books and magazines as swaps, so bring your unwanted, twice read books and mags along with you to trade for something new.

Head due west and you will find the following places in THIS order:

1) A place to borrow books. Let the year it was offically opened equal A.

(Update! - The plaque that answered this question has been removed/vandalised. When you find where the plaque was, you would have walked passed a park bench. Count the number of wooden slats and add this to 1967. This will put you back on track. Previous logs mentioned 1974, this is NOT the right number and will put you off track in your co-ord calcs. I understand it was built in 1974, but not officially opened until later.)

2) A place to buy a book. Let the street number of this building equal B.

(Update! This place has moved to the other side of the road and no longer has a street number displayed. Instead, count the number of LETTERS in the sign above their door and add 92 to this number. This is thenew way to find "B")

3) A place to buy the morning paper or a magazine. If in the aphabet, a=1, b=2, c=3 etc.
Spell the colour of the window frames of this building and add the letters together, let this equal C.

4) The place to go to send a book to a friend. There is a collection of many numbers on the western side of this building. Let the very top left number in this group equal D.

5) The office of the local newspaper. Let the last 4 digits of their phone number equal E.

6) Opposite this office is a sign with a height. If a standard magazine is 300mm tall, how many magazines would stand end to end under this structure? Let this number equal F.

7) In this building they study a book called the Bible. Let the number of air vents high on the right side of
this building equal G. (A hint: Dont cheat!)

Now lets hope you remembered to bring a calculator!

B=

C=

D=

The cache rests at the below coords in a nearby Dell. (Dell - A small wooded valley).

S 33 42.X
E 150 33.Y

X = (A-E) + (C-1)

Y = (FxG) - (D-B-F-23)

This area is a nice spot to enter the Sassafras Gully for a bush walk. It is also great area to sit and eat lunch with plenty of rarely used picnic tables.

GZ does have a reasonably dense tree canopy, so it will test the antenna on your GPSr. For this reason the final coords were averaged over 20 samples with a 6m accuracy.
It also never hurts to carry a small torch when looking for a black box!

Unfortunately this area is also a good "CITO" (Cache in, Trash Out) candidate.
