Located near the village of Burton Latimer, the cache is just a short walk along well defined paths
This wind farm just outside the village of Burton Latimer was built in January 06. It consists of 10 turbines capable of producing 20 mega watts of electricity (enough to power 10,000 homes)
Access to the cache is best via the village, taking the small back road that goes over the A6. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE A6 this is a very busy road and not suitable for stopping.
There is plenty of parking along the roadside right under the turbines. It’s not until you get this close that you realise how big they are!
The cache itself is situated down one of the tracks off the road and along the well defined footpath (quite muddy).
This is a very popular attraction at the moment so please be aware of any muggles and be sure to place the cache back where you found it.
Although these sites are very controversial we think that they look very majestic and on the day we placed the cache it was very windy, but you couldn’t hear a thing.
Happy Caching

Note to say that there are signs on the road saying no access to wind farm, but these have been errected by the local residents and the road is not private. The track down to the cache is blocked so you will have to park on the road. When parking on the road please do so curtiously. The woods at the bottom are private so please take the footpath around them (look at the map). Hope this makes things clearer.
