“INDIANA SPIRIT
QUEST”
The Indiana Spirit Quest series of
geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries
built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just two years, the quest has grown
to over four hundred fifty caches hidden in Indiana, as well as
Ohio and Michigan, and the hiders have grown to over twenty-five
cacher teams, most of which of which are comprised of Dogs and
their Humans. Over 1,000 cacher teams have
logged over 12,500 finds. One of many cache machines found 102 ISQ
caches in a single day (daylight hours only).

HERE?!?!"
Welcome to the Fort
Wayne State Hospital & Training Cemetery (also known as Indiana
Feeble-minded School Cemetery) located in Allen County, Saint
Joseph Township, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Very little is known about this location.
But it is know that it was used as a cemetery from July 1901 to May
1967. According to the Allen County database, only two stones
remain to mark this cemetery. However, as I was scouting the
location, I found an additional headstone on the other side of the
pine trees. This tells me that either the graves are unmarked, lost
or there is a mass grave of cremated remains. But then I'm not a
historian, so don't take my word for it.

The cemetery lies on the corner of IPFW
property. There is a small parking area nearby and a bench for the
weary. Please be respectful of the posted signs by not parking int
he grass.

WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT
NOTICE!
The cache container is
a decon container. The cache is not located near a
grave... If you find a fallen US flag, please stick it back in
the ground. You must sign the cache log to claim a find. As
always, please be respectful, and cache in, trash out. Say a
prayer for our brave troops, fighting overseas. God Bless
