Friday the 17th of March is St. Patrick's Day. I'm thinking that
a cache with the theme of the day would be in order. I have no idea
why I would think that way because being a pure 100 percent
Schnauzer of a German descent with no Irish ethnic background, you
would think I would hold off celebrating until next Octoberfest
day. Well it turns out that the people I live with celebrate every
holiday that they can. I asked Hikeaday what St. Patrick's Day was
all about and his reply was: "Beer (sometimes green), corn beef and
cabbage, wearing a green shirt and Beer (sometimes green)." I was
sure there's more to it than that so I looked it up on the internet
and here's what I found:
The history of St. Patrick's Day
I've stuck some green stuff in the cache. I don't expect that
many cachers have St. Patrick's Day green stuff to trade, so you
are welcome to trade whatever you have for the green.
Please do not go through the contents of the container at the
cache site. Take the container a couple of hundred feet away to
trade swag and do the logging thing. The reason is obvious.
