This cache is for Travel Bugs who need a rest from their travels. It's a great place to spend several days streamside in a beautiful park.
You can park at Normandy Elementary School N39 38.494 W84 10.344 and then take a hike to discover this cache. The campground overlooks Holes Creek and is a medium sized camouflaged painted ammo can. The cache housing these camping travel bugs is above the flood plain, but depending on your approach and recent weather conditions, waterproof boots may be an asset.
The campers may stay as long a necessary to fully rest, but it is requested that if you take a camping travel bug from its campsite that you move it along on its journey as soon as possible. You should also try to give other travel bugs the opportunity to rest in this quiet and serene campground.
As long as there is room in the campground, you may feel free to leave a travel bug to camp...it is not necessary to remove a camping travel bug. There is a logbook, pencil and other items for trade inside this cache, so please stop by for a visit.
There are several other caches located in Grant Park and you’ll notice lots of activity when the weather is nice. The park is open during daylight hours and please remember…all dogs should be walked on a leash. Have fun!
