“A Scout can face danger although he is afraid. He has the courage to stand for what he thinks is right even if others laugh at him or threaten him.” (Excerpted from Boy Scout Handbook, 11th Edition, copyright 1998 by BSA)
This cache is the tenth in a series of 12 dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America, with each cache named after one of the 12 points of the Boy Scout Law. It is located along the Boy Scout Trail in Petit Jean State Park. See the cache listing for the first cache in this series, “BSA 1: A Scout is Trustworthy” (GCTXEB), for a description of the Boy Scout Trail.
This cache is located along the trail in the section between Bear Cave and Mather Lodge. You are close to a muggle-rich area here, so exercise stealth and caution in your search! The cache is a camouflaged peanut butter jar containing a logbook and perhaps a small trade item or two. The cache is not located far from the trail, so bushwhacking is not necessary and please don’t stray off the trail too early.
When you find this cache please take note how it is hidden and replace it back as you found it so those following you may experience the same challenge.
Please note that the park trails close at dusk, in accordance with state park regulations. Do NOT start your search if you cannot be off the trail by nightfall and do NOT search at night.
