Geocache Description:

Westlake Washington.

When I was a kid growing up in Moses Lake this was a thriving town with business and homes. The area the cache is in used to be were Shakey's Pizza was. It became Chico's and after the town was closed Chico's moved into town. There are still some houses on the North side of the freeway and new subdivisons to the south. They are flattening the land and putting in self storage units. When the water levels rose the government took over the land and moved the people to higher water. Enjoy the area and the history of Westlake.
