A Sip Of Your Coker, Please? Traditional Cache

Lighteye: Made it out to the cache site with my new cane and trusty dog in tow. Whomever thought putting the rocks down on the road obviously never has hiked on them for any period of time. A right scorcher today, 101 was the heat index. I am pulling this one, as I no longer am able to maintain it. Thanks to all who have hunted it over the years.

Geocache Description:


Ahhh... The Coker Preserve in the afternoon...lovely 🙂 I placed this one along the same trails as found in GCTDKK, Things Go Better With Coker, by infiniteMPG.

This one is relatively close to the parking area located at N27 27.835 W82 11.324, so it is accessible for those who would like to show their little 'uns a bit of wild Florida backcountry on a 20 minute walk on sand and gravel covered trails.

If you have the time and are capable of a longer hike in this area, I would highly suggest completing infiniteMPG's 8 mile multi in this park. It is definitely worth the walk.

Be sure to wear some sunscreen, and bring water, as there is little shade available here on this end of the preserve, as it is mostly palmetto scrub country. Keep an eye for natural inhabitants as well. If you come in the late afternoon, early evening as I did when placing this, you will see armadillos, and the odd oppossum or two if you are still.
