Geocache Description:

An incredibly simple, yet highly addicting game!

This is a fairly simple dice game that I have played for YEARS!

Each turn, the player starts with 6 dice and rolls them all. Each time a roll is made, one or more scoring dice must be removed and the player can chose to stop with the total score they have accumulated or roll on. If no score is made on a roll, the player "zilches" and all the accumulated score for that turn (not from previous turns)is lost. If all the dice are used for scoring then the turn continues with all 6 dice again!

Scoring is as follows:

5=50 points

1=100 points

3 of a kind = kind X 100 points

3 of a kind "ones" = 1000 points

3 pairs = 1000 points

On a 6 dice roll 1,2,3,4,5,6 = 1500 points

You add up your score (aloud) as you roll. When you have a good enough score that you want to keep, simply announce "I'll take it" and pass the dice to the next player. If you end up "ZiLcHiNg" before you say "I'll take it", a few choice expletives before passing the dice along may be in order.

To win a player "knocks" (literally, on table) instead of rolling on their turn and each other player has one turn to pass the leader's score. A winning score is 10,000 ponts or more. The scores are kept on a regular piece of paper.

Also, you MUST score with at LEAST 500 points to "open" or to start tallying your points. Failure to roll your initial 500 points is known as a "bonk" and the dice is passed to the next player. No points are awarded. (Some people use an additional rule: If player zilches on their first three turns they go negative whatever score they had before the final roll of their third turn and can subsequently stop at any score. It tends to make it all a bit more confusing for me though.)

The game is suspenseful as players roll diminishing numbers of dice against increasing odds.

I'll play one turn with you to see if it will help get things rolling:

Roll 1-All six dice:

Pick out any scoring dice, put them aside, announce your score aloud, then roll non-scoring dice again:

"One-hundred and fifty" (100 for the 1 and 50 for the 5)

Pick out any scoring dice from this roll, put them aside, announce your score aloud, then roll non-scoring dice again:

"Two Hundred" 150 from roll 1, plus 50 for the 5 from roll 2.

"Three Hundred" 200 from other rolls, plus 100 for the 1.

"*#@^% bratz-a-fratz ZILCH!"

Cache is a one gallon plastic container, containing 20 sets of Zilch dice for the first 20 finds. Exchanges of any kind would be appreciated.

This area can get muddy and slick. Wear boots if you have them! You've been warned.

Saw some decent sized deer tracks while placing cache. I love it when that happens!

I am now completely mentally spent from writing this cache page. I think I better go geocaching for awhile and get away from this thing!
