Geocache Description:

"Lake"?? I think it is more of a large pond. This is another spot I discovered while playing with Mapsource. I had never heard tell of it before so went looking. Of course I had to put a cache out while I was there. It is housed in a large PB jar and contains log sheets, pencils, a stashnote, and some trading items.

This is an excellent cache to do on your G.A.V. You can get to within 300 metres of it before you have to set out on foot. I travelled in through a cedar swamp and found it to be pretty good going, especially with the ground frozen. The lake is more of a large pond with a small grassy island in the middle of one end of it. It is about 5 km from the pavement the way I went in. On the map it looks to be about 1 km from the T.C.H. as the crow flies. There are several old woods roads in the area that you can travel on. It is somewhat winter friendly. Enjoy your visit!
