Geocache Description:

This section of the "Waikato River Trail" includes some steep sections but rewards with stunning views. Best started from "Jones Landing"(S38.06.128 / E175.38.277)
Allow 1hr return for the walk.

Longer alternative is from Arapuni Dam (S38.04.978/E175.38.412) About 1.5 hrs return.
makes a good through walk if return transport is arranged. Lake swimming is possible near either end.

Cache is off-set.

First walk to above co-ordinates, and take a well deserved break.

Then travel at 010 degrees for 10 metres. turn and travel further 20 metres at 090 degrees to the cache locality.

After your hunt be sure to take the short side track to nearby lookout.

Initial cache contents: Finders instructions, notebook, pen,eraser, tape measure,alphabet stickers,golfball, samoan $1 coin.
