"On A Mission" Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

synchRswim: Not getting much action on this one with only 3 finds in a year so we'll shut this one down. Just too far of a cache in the wrong direction for most folks I think.

Thanks to everyone who logged and we'll come up with a new idea for this one!

Geocache Description:

This is a 'Multi' cache that is fairly difficult, time consuming, involves plenty of work, and also includes about a 30 mile loop from Start to Finish and Back. Plan to take a morning or afternoon to complete the entire adventure. Don’t forget to pack a lunch and allow for time to play, especially if you are taking kids. Note that weather (snow) may significantly impact your ability to complete this cache in Fall or Winter so plan ahead before starting out.

First leg is a Historical Monument in a *FEE AREA* private park open dawn to dusk and no dogs or alcohol allowed. Pony up the $1/person and while you are there having fun or eating lunch spend some time learning about the history of the earliest settlement of Yakima.

In order to calculate the second leg from the listed coordinates-

Discover the name of the first Chief on the left:

_____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____

the name of second Chief in the middle:

_____ _____ _____ _____

and the last name of the Artist who completed this Monument:

_____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____

Then, assign numerical values to each letter (ie: A= 1, B= 2, C= 3, etc.).

For North Coordinates (N 46° 31.XXX): Add the value of the first letter in each name and divide by the number of feathers the Chief on the left is wearing = _____. Add that number to 764 to get the last three digits = _____.

For West Coordinates (W 120° 47.XXX): Add the value of the last letter in each name and divide by the number of ears of corn in the basket = _____. Add that number to 664 to get the last three digits = _____.

* You now have the coordinates for the second leg which is a 'Micro' cache. Inside the second leg container you will find the exact coordinates for the final leg which is a 'Regular' cache full of trade goods. Please place each cache back exactly as you found it and camouflage well to avoid detection.

Best of luck! We hope you enjoy this cache, the history lesson and the time you spend on our little adventure!
