Geocache Description:

Trail cleanup at Oxbow Park 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Please join me for a CITO event at Oxbow Regional Park. Rain or Shine. April 22, 2006 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. We will be doing "Gentle Touch" trail clean up in the Ancient Forest area. If time allows, there is some Ivy to be surveyed and removed in the group camping area, also.

Park Ranger Bill is excited to learn more about geocaching and is truely appreciative of any work we provide in the park.

Oxbow is a Metro 1,200 natural area park located within the Sandy River gorge. All plants and wildlife are protected.

The regular park entrance fee will be waved for this event, so this would be a good opportunity to do a little work for the community, and find the 3 caches located in the park. Just mention at the park entrance booth that you are coming for the geocaching work party. They will provide you with a map and direct you to the area we will meet.

We will have Group Picnic Area "A" to gather in the morning to hand out trail cleanup assignments, and then for a potluck lunch, after the work party. There are play structures for children close by.

Due to the wildlife (deer, elk, cougars, squirrels, etc) - dogs are not allowed.

Please post a note if you will be attending, so we know how many to plan for. Gloves and work tools will be provided by the park.
