Five, Seven, Five Traditional Cache

Lostboy1966: "This was an old hide.
Fun concept, but lame micro.
It is history."

Ah, reflections back to the days when I first started hiding caches in earnest, and thought a micro in the woods was a cool idea. [:D]
Thanks to those that 'played along' with the theme - there were some fun logs posted here.

Haiku, hiked out.

Geocache Description:

An easy hike in Devil’s Den Preserve. The challenge is to post your online log in a way that meets the rules of the cache! Park in the Pent Road lot in Weston, CT.

The Japanese poetry form known as ‘Haiku’ has traditions and rules that go back for years uncounted. In the most simplified English version of the verse it is basically a three line poem consisting of five syllables, then seven, then five again. For example:

"This is a Haiku
It is a beautiful Poem
But it does not rhyme"

Obviously, there are much more artistic samples to be had, but you get the idea. For this hide, you can sign the paper log in any way you see fit, but when reporting the find online you must do so in Haiku! Such as:

"Claimed in the morning
The hike was monumental
Cripes, I hate Micros"

Or..

"The cache I did claim
Thorns and ticks were everywhere
My blood loss was great"

After your prose you can add any additional comments that you wish, but the Haiku must come first, or the find will not count towards your total. To put it another way:

"I have logged no poem
Lostboy was unmerciful
My post, deleted"

Cache Notes: The micro was placed near 2:30, with an accuracy read of 15 feet. FTF prize is $2.00 cash. Please respect the Preserve, and consider making a donation to The Nature Conservancy. Information can be found through the following links.
