Park at the Big Tesuque parking lot and follow the trail.
This cache is intended to get you out of your car and into the woods. In contrast to the many "park and grab" and "urban" caches that exist in the Santa Fe area, I wanted to place a cache somewhere where one has to get out of their car and suck in some fresh air. It's about 1 1/2 mile round trip hike starting at about 9000 feet and goes up a bit. Excepting for the altitude, it's really a fairly easy hike. The ammo can cache is well hidden about 175 feet off the main trail on the other side of the Big Tesuque and there may be decoys. This cache contains a disposable camera which you should use to take a picture of yourself when visiting this cache. When the film is used, i'll post the pictures here. Please leave the camera for others to use. There are some other trading items for you to take, move, or exchange. Items such as "Special Sauce", a CD, a CCcoin, some homies, an alien, some jumping beans, and a log book for you to sign are there to start. A caution! Trail May be icy in winter conditions.
