Bath is the City of Ships It is also home to LOTS of boats. Bath is adjacent to two of the most important ecological systems in Maine, the Kennebec River and Merrymeeting Bay. Traveling the Kennebec, which is unimpeded from Popham to Augusta, remains a special experience where boaters can still experience areas of sparse or no development. Wildlife sightings here are legendary, and stange things happen at the boat landings too.
